Does anyone know where I can purchase "live" lab mice for training? ?

I am going to train a few mice to play with a ball and keep them for pets, but the ones in the pet store are too fancy. I want to train the cheaper lab mice. It is my hopes to see which makes better pets, male or female.

  4. try buying the mice at the petstore that they use to feed snakes. they are all white and pretty boring. also much cheaper. you can buy them online if your petstore does not have them.

  5. Go to a reptile store and ask for feeder mice, these are the albino ones. Petco also carries them, sometimes they keep them in the back. You can also look into rescuing a few. Try www.petfinder.com.

  6. buy the mice used for feeding snakes, those are the lab mice scientist use. they are not suppose to be "fancy" as you say because they are gonna die soon anyways, so you can get them for a cheap price and they can be used for anything.

  7. White lab mice are albino feeders.

Go into any pet store that sells live rodents and ask for for feeder mice.

They're used to feed carniviorous animals, hence the name.
