Does anyone know where Kevin Levin got his last name?

Question

Is it mentioned anywhere in the original show (Ben 10) that his last name is Levin, or is it just in alien force? If so, any theories? I find it hard to believe that his name actually rhymes- he makes fun of Ben and Gwen for it.
