For example, in the winter you add six hours for you local time z. But I think it goes down to 5 in the spring. Does anyone know the rest?

  1. Zulu, or GMT is the universal time independent of daylight saving time.  0600 zulu is the same the world around, and in space.  Can you imagine the people on the space station trying to set their clock for every time zone?

  2. The reason for going from 6 hours to five in the spring is because of Daylight Savings Time.  I am not sure what you are asking or what you mean by z time.

If you are 6 time zones east of the other zone, subtract 6 hours from your time to get their time.

If you are wondering how Daylight Savings Time works, you just add an hour to your time when it starts in the spring and subtract it back when DST ends in the Fall.

  3. (+ 6 ) does not mean add 6 hours.  It says your time zone is 6 hours away from Z, or Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) in London, England.  GMT is also referred to as UTC.  The +6 designation never changes, however, many countries move their clocks up an hour during daylight saving time starting in the spring.

+6 is Central Time in the U.S.  The military calls it S or Sierra Time.

  4. Winter or summer, GMT ( Greenwich Mean Time or Temps Universal) rests same.

Most of the Asian countries don`t move up or down their clocks an hour...

Google is a wonderful tool.  Search "zulu time conversion table".  Check the first several hits.  Bingo.
