Does anyone know where any of those chinese resturants are that cook your order in front of you in Melbourne?

I live in the south east so anything as close to that as possible would be great to know.

I know of one in the ciy on Exhibition Street, you have to walk upstairs...forget the name but its a chinese place on exhibition street between Lonsdale and Latrobe Street...they have a chef cooking in front of you there is a window between you and the guy cooking and it is cool....

Sorry can't help you in the south-east but if you fancy a trip to the city try Melba at the Langham Hotel.  They have a full buffet there and in one section of it there's a Chinese section where the chef cooks whatever you like right in front of you.  They do the same thing with sushi and curries.  A little pricey but worth it.

If you book ask for a table by the window.  You can look out over the river.  But you'll have to book well in advance.  We didn't book early enough and so missed out on a window-side table.

i know a few places that cook tepenyaki (japanese cuisine) in front of you, you will find these mostly in chinatown, but as for chinese im not sure
