I have never heard of getting money for your hair.....I have heard of Locks of Love....however the only thing you will get in return is helping someone that has cancer.

By its very definition, a donation is just that, it's something you give for free.  

If you're looking for money then you're selling something!

If you DONATE, that means that you will get no money back.

If you want money, then SELL it.

But I think it is better to donate.
