I have had ginger from China town in LA before that was prepared in a special way. Unfortunately the place that sold it no longer exists but i still want the ginger. The ginger was pretty spicy, looked almost black, was cut into thin peices and it was covered in this deep redish- orange powder that was sweet and salty. Also when you would eat it it would stain your fingers. Does anyone know where i can find ginger like this? I live in San Diego, CA.
