Does anyone know where i can get a recipe for italian cartocci custard??

These are very similar to cannoli's and are made with pastry

  1. Eggnog Custard Pie

    Ingredients:

    FILLING:  

    3 eggs  

    1/3 c sugar  

    1/8 t salt  

    1/8-1/4 t nutmeg  

    2 c eggnog (not canned)  

    2 T brandy or rum  

    1 t vanilla    

    TOPPING:  

    1 c whipping cream  

    3 T powdered sugar  

    1-2 t brandy or rum  

    nutmeg  

    Method

    Preheat oven to 350. In a large mixing bowl beat eggs; add remaining filling ingredients, blend well. Pour into a 9" unbaked pasty shell. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 30-40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely. In a small bowl beat whipping cream until soft peaks form. Add powdered sugar and brandy (or rum); beat until stiff peaks form. Garnish pie with topping and sprinkle with nutmeg. Keep refrigerated.

    Number of servings: 8-12
