  1. What?!!!

Zeppelins were all shot down in the First World War!

    hahaha

  2. Zeppelins were the creation of the German engineer Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin before WWI.  The word is supposed to mean only Zeppelin build rigid ariships but has been used generically to mean all similar types no matter who built them.

They gained military notoriety during WWI but their vulnerability at the hands of faster and more agile heavier-than-air planes was also demonstrated.  Production was halted at the end of the war.

Between the wars, rigid airship production was experimented with by the United States and Great Britain in particular, both for military and civilian air travel purposes.  They were of varying success but the issue of hydrogen volatility and the vulnerability of airships to endure violent weather were not overcome.  The US did use helium filled rigid airships but encountered severe difficulties with supplying sufficient amounts of the gas (helium is quite rare and is a by-product of oil drilling since it can usually only be found trapped within underground rock strata).

With the rise of German fortunes between the wars, Zeppelins were once again built and frequently used for propaganda purposes by the n***s.  There were notable failures, the Hindenberg's destruction the most obvious one and was recorded on film.

The Hidenberg was destroyed (most probably) by an electro-static discharge as it tried to land.  The discharge caused the volatile aluminium doping compound used on the vessel's hull (to make it reflect sunlight so as to avoid unwanted internal heat and thermal expansion) to ignite and burn uncontrollably.  As the hull caught fire, the hydrogen bladders were ignited and the airship was rapidly consumed by flames.  Many airships were destroyed by bad weather, their huge structures making them unable to cope with violent conditions.

The arrival of WW2 in 1939 spelt the end of the great Zeppelin airships as they were by then considered quite unsuitable for modern warfare and a drain on resources needed for the war effort.  The remaining ones were scrapped for the metals to be recycled.

There are currently no modern airships built on the scale (or to the same design pattern) and the old Zeppelins.  There have been efforts to revive large airship construction for a number of reasons but usually economics have caused the projects to fail.  No old rigid airships from the era of the great Zeppelins have been preserved either.

It is quite likely that even finding a realistic simmulator program for a traditional Zeppelin is impossible since most of the people familiar with the handling characteristics of the old Zeppelins are now dead.

  3. Led Zeppelin is not a blimp and easy to play - just go to ur local music store, purchase 1 of their CDs, take home and put in CD player
