Does anyone know where i could find a used central A/C unit for sale?

yes you can find used ones to!...a lot of people replace these to save on electric...the newer ones are more energy efficient..find out what size that you need and contact air condition people, ask around maybe put a add in the paper, your best bet is to wait untill cold weather and people will start replacing their funaces and along with them their ac's. I wouldn't get one older than 10 yrs...if yo look you may find one like i did with little wear...it was out of a house hit by a tornado...good luck!

Most people wouldn't sell these used for the same reason you would have a hard time finding a used furnace.  Not many people are going to get rid of these items unless they breakdown and are beyond repair.

Also, unless you're an HVAC tech yourself, you'd have to hire someone to install it.  Most companies wouldn't want to install a used one because they wouldn't know if anything was wrong with it.

You are just asking for problems. Even if you did find an installer they would not give any warr. on job.
