I want to start blogging, but I am not sure which site is the best for a new blogger. I want to blog on a variety of topics such as sports, economy, politics and everything life. Any suggestions on which site is the best for my situation? Thanks.

Avoid the sites that host blogs. Instead, grab some quality free open source blogging software like Drupal, Joomla, Mambo, or WordPress, and install it on a free web host that has no ads (unless you want to put in your own). And you get a lot more flexibility this way on what themes are available to you (not to mention designing your own from scratch) and what additional features you want to install (modules and widgets)
