Does anyone know where some great malls in Illionois are??

Im looking for a nice mall I can go to for my birthday. I would like the mall to be close to Chicago or no more than 2 hours away.

There's the Cherry Vale mall just outside of Rockford. It is a nice mall with a bit of a small town feel to it. You could also visit Gurnee Mills in Gurnee. Very nice mall.

Woodfield Mall over in Schaumburg is pretty nice.

Woodfield Mall can best be described as "The Mall of America" without the roller coasters and seeing the same stores several times inside.  And don't forget  to visit Water Tower Place on Michigan Ave. downtown

It depends what you are looking for.  As others have stated, Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg is the biggest in the area.  It is probably a bit smaller than the Mall of America.  Gurnee Mills is also another big one.  It used to be mostly outlet stores, but it has changed a lot.  For upscale shopping try Old Orchard in Skokie or Northbrook Court in Northbrook.

the woodfield  mall is the best. I went there in spring and it is amazing. it took me the whole day to walk through it. i live outside chicago so we were wanting to go shop and we came across the woodfield mall. Go  there it is AMAZING!!! hope you like it!!! :)
