Regardless of all the TV commercials you see, booking and purchasing directly from the airline's web site is usually the cheapest. Book as far in advance as possible to get the best deal. After you purchase your tickets, go to a web site called Yapta. http://yapta.com/ and sign up.

It's a free service that that checks the price of your airfare several times a day and notifies you if there is any significant drop in price. This gives you the option to obtain a refund, or exchange your tickets if the price drops, or if the airline runs a special. They saved me almost $200 last summer on airfare for my wife and I.

Cincinnati is one of the most expensive cities to fly out of.  People actually drive to Dayton, Indianapolis, Columbus or Louisville for cheaper tickets.  I know that Southwest flies out of Louisville, Indianapolis and Columbus.  Looking up airfare out of those 3 cities would be a good start.
