Unfortunately Los Angeles isn't known for its opera singers. You might be better off going out of state. Good luck.

LOL au contraire, there are PLENTY of opera singers and teachers in Los Angeles!  USC, in fact, was recently listed as one of the top 10 schools for opera performance in the United States.  I'd really need to know your age / education level to answer this question properly, but one teacher I know in LA who is amazing (one of the best in the world) is Joel Ewing.  He teaches both opera singers and famous rock singers (examples include the members of the band Journey and the Eagles).  Good luck!
