carol: I went to Lowe's after you suggested it. It was actually my mom's idea

hillary: and DJK: I was hoping more for like $1.99 or less seed packets but those websites do seem to have some nice things

joan: thanks for the nice offer, but no, I do not live nearby

chicago: yes! I was hoping for some cheap store like Aldi's (only heard of it, but there is none around)

anyway thanks to everyone for the answers, I ended up finding some seeds for 10 cents each. Not iris or tulips, but a good price anyway

  1. www.hollandbulbfarm.com that;s where my husband/ Landscaping Business partner buy ours.

  2. For the tulips, if there is a Aldi's store in your area I'd try there.  I bought some last fall (they need to be planted in the fall to perform best) and they came in quite nice.  They were close the 75 percent less than the big box stores.

For the iris, make friends with a neighbor who has irises.  They need to be divided every once in a while and people usually want the plants to go to a good home.

  3. Seeds are not available for these plants. You can only get bulbs and rhizomes.

Try this source - good prices and a reputable company

    http://www.kvbwholesale.com/store/

  4. I don't think you get seeds for those two.  You need bulbs. Get them at any garden supply center or even a big store with a garden center (Wal-Mart, Lowes)

  5. if you are in the Colorado/Aurora area I have Iris by the bucket free if you wish to dig up.  conjb@yahoo.com
