Does anyone know where to get 18th or 19th century cloth pad patterns?

I guess I must be a brave living history woman because my internet searches are coming up with nothing. I want to be able to wear correct undergarments with my 18th and 19th century costumes no matter what time of the month it is. It's known that women had cloth clouts or pads that somehow pinned to or tied onto the waistbands of their drawers to use during their periods, but does anyone know where to find patterns or detailed instructions on how to make them now? Or even detailed pictures of extant garments from which patterns could potentially be extrapolated? Modern cloth pad patterns with snaps, buttons or Velcro just aren't built quite right for use with split-leg drawers unfortunately...

  2. travel back in time... physicists claim this inane notion is possible

  3. Try this page, you can search thru the patented items and see which one would work with the clothes you already have.
