  1. You will need to get an exam before you wear these contact lenses. However alot of doctors will not fit patients with these lenses. I first recommend googling "Crazy Eyes" That will bring up a online retailers that sell them. There are several different kinds so make sure you write down the ones you like and get all of the information. I.E. You should write down the brand ( so what they are actually called since each manufacturer names them something different.), the Manufacturer, the base curve and the diameter. Pick a few different ones because one type may not fit you. Then call around to local doctors and find a doctor that will fit for these lenses. The reason I say you should write down all of that information is because, at least where I live, doctors are not familiar with these lenses because they are not used for medical purposes. So in your case knowledge of the lenses will help you and your doctor.

  2. It's actually ilegal to get contact lenses unless you have had an eye test aswell as a contact lense check and fit, so thats probably why argos and claires dont sell them anymore.  this is because of the risk of infections contact lenses can cause, if they are stored incorrectly, worn for too long or put in the wrong way you can get all sort of infections and could end up with a trip to the hospital!

Therefore i would recomend you go to your opticians and ask them about it.  Not all opticians will provide these mind.

  3. You could try at the larger boots opticians, or anywhere that sells accessories.

  4. You can get them from vision express, the crazy eyes and the standard coloured lenses. You will need a valid sight test and c/l lens consultation before you get the lenses. I think legislation was brought in prohibiting the sale of contact lenses without a valid c/l prescription because of the seriousness of the infections that can come from contact lenses. once you've had those appointments you can get the lenses as and when you like for a year. Dont see it as an inconvenience, it could save your sight.
