  1. Some phone companies do!

  2. In are area they have beens at the local grocery store. You might check.

  3. I was told that the fast-food giant Hardees takes them, and you get free fries if you recycle!

  4. Recycling is a local job. Look in one of those phonebooks for local govt, county, city, or township, and see if there isn't a recycling department. If there's not, phone public works or even the phone company.

Where I live the phone company coordinates with the recycling agency for a well-publicized phonebook recycling program.

It sounds like you, your school, and your community could benefit from some proactive recycling activities.

  5. Our home recycling program takes them. Some areas have newspaper collection dumpsters which don't prohibit phone books being deposited.
