  1. http://www.dmv.org/mi-michigan/id-cards....

The above link requires that you type in your zip code for the nearest location and they promise an id, same day.

If you go to a Michigan SOS locale there is no assurance that you will get the id the same day.

State identification cards are issued to any Michigan resident.  There is no minimum age requirement.  However, you may not have a state ID card and a Michigan driver's license at the same time unless your license has been restricted, suspended or revoked.  State ID cards are processed at any Secretary of State office.

Residents applying for a state ID card must present documentation of a valid Social Security number,  U.S. citizenship or legal presence, identification and Michigan residency.  All documents are subject to department approval.  Approvals may require more than one day.

State ID cards costs $10.  They are issued free to residents who are blind, age 65 or older, or who have had their driving privileges terminated due to a mental or physical disability.

    Under Michigan law
