Most libraries have a subscription to a genealogy site.

All you need is a library card for your local library system to use their subcsription and access the Census Records.

This allows you to print the document, for future reference, for a small fee (less than $1.00 per page).

Before the Internet, libraries either owned or could order the  reels of available Census Records and they probably still have some of them tucked away in a drawer somewhere.

The Church of Jesus Christ of LAtter DAy Saints has free family history centers all over the country.  Look in your local phone book under that name for a family history center listing.  You could also probably find it online with a bit of googling.
