Does anyone know whether , u can use any lcd screen so far as the brand name and size matches with the laptop?

You can use any screen size or type with anything.  So no matter what you have it'll be laptop compatiable.  Just be careful because if the max resoultion for your laptop is higher then your new monitor you'll need to turn it down first.

You should be able to use any screen size and brand, as long as the laptop's graphics card can handle the resolution.
