  1. Is it true, if you risk Lazy'k surgery, you risk too much?

  2. Yes you can...it has to be correctible to 20/20.

I am a senior captain for JetBlue and I don't have perfect vision. I have contact lenses. No worries, you are alright. Before you become commercial, however, you should be a pilot in the military...air force....fighter pilot whatever thats what i did. They will take you right away.

  3. No you can not.

  4. get eye surgery

  5. Yes.  A significant portion of the population has some problem with vison. If they made perfect vision a requirement, they'd find themselves very short of pilots and future prospects.  There are plenty of pilots who wear glasses or contacts, especially older pilots (everybody's eyes go a little bit with age). There really isn't a problem as long as your vision is correctable to 20/20. That means glasses, contacts, or surgery are all options. If you want a career in aviation, go for it. The largest medical problems are things like heart conditions or anything else that might knock you out like epilepsy.

  6. You can, as long as it is corrected with glasses or contacts.

If you are color blind, however, you cannot fly commercially.

  7. Sure...with corrective glasses or contacts you can.  But the correction must mean you meet at least the minimum vision required. When I started it was 20/20, not sure what it is now.

  8. Yes you can.  You will just be required to wear corrective lenses while flying.  You won't be able to become a fighter pilot though.
