Does anyone know which are better between these two the polk audio r50 or r300 speakers?

dont want to spend much and saw these ata really good deal. i just wnat to know if anyone has them and can give me some feed back. thanks

I suppose both are not bad speakers.  Between the two, the R50, with its dual mid-woofers will give you more performance, although the value is about the same as the R300, because the R300 might give you better sound because of the inverted driver placement.  

That said, I would say that they (speaking mainly about the Cherry finish on the R50) look better than they sound however.  Even at their low price, I recommend better overall performers to consider -if sound quality is your number one priority.

And if you would consider the used market, there are plenty of great audiophile values on eBay and some that may stay within your price range on AudiogoN too.
