  1. I think he was watching the ufc instead. Boxing is boring now can you blame him the judges decide the winner of every fight nowdays they should finish it in the ring not on a piece of paper

  2. Stevie Wonder ?

  3. American judges are always dodgy when American fighters are involved. I think neutral judges should be used.

  4. She was watching a replay of Pac-man/ Marquez. I had Hopkins winning only the first round, with two other rounds close. 116-111 was the only score that reflected the fight.

  5. Thought She Did Fine

    Outcome Reflected In The Scores

She Was Deducting a Point for Every low Blow

    MY Name Is Chrissy

  6. I missed the first half of the fight, but I was watching  ESPN's coverage and scoring via the internet. They had Hopkins winning by a point as well??

  7. Judge Adalaide Byrd, who scored the bout 114-113 for Hopkins, awarded Calzaghe four of the last six rounds.

I knew this would happen. . . . ElmerFuddStein asked the question last week, and I predicted that one judge would get it totally wrong.  I thought it would be a bigger swing on this one lone judge's card. . . .but it was enough to show her incompetence!

  8. Ms. Byrd is not exactly the judge I would hope non-Americans would judge US judging as a whole by. She has a history of some pretty whacked scores. I think she may have wanted to see Hopkins fulfill his claim about how he would never be beat by a...

  9. Well, I thought that was pretty accurate for Las Vegas standards. I imagined the judges would have given Hopkins a slight edge. Joe came back and won most of the second half of the fight, but I thought the knockdown would have saved Hopkins.

  10. Same one I was. Calzaghe may have thrown more punches, but Hopkins made him miss about as many, too.

Hopkins definitely landed the more punishing blows, thus the knockdown, and Calzaghe's lumped up face at the end of it, without a mark on Bernard.

If ever a fight called for a rematch, this is it.
