Main Station in Liverpool is Lime Street if you head from there to Queens Square (you can't miss it it's literally over the crossing) There is a bus that takes you straight through to Liverpool John Lennon Airport no stops. If your lost there are guys in high-visibility jackets at bus station who will show you right bus stop to get airport bus enjoy. As to where you go from Hull check rail website

can't get direct train from Hull to Liverpool Central, have to go via Manchester. But can get direct bus from Manchester to the airport.

Might want to try and get a lift from someone! Sounds like a long trip.

Liverpool South Parkway rail station, is a convenient interchange for the airport  - with a fast and frequent bus connecting service.

Direct rail line from Hull to Liverpool - not sure if its South Parkway, though.
