Omg I did the same project a month ago !

It was George W. Ferris . He began his career in the railroad industry and then pursued an interest in bridge building. He understood the growing need for structural steel.He built the Ferris Wheel for the 1893 World's Fair, which was held in Chicago to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Columbus's landing in America.

Mr Ferris, because he wanted to see what the view was like from the top.

I once heard about a double-stacked Ferris Wheel - get out of the top of the bottom one and into the bottom if the top one - but I was nevery quite sure if it was true or not. Anyone know?
