Does anyone know who makes Upland bicycles?

Hi i just bought an Upland Vengeance bicycle and i have never heard of the company. Anyone know of the company or its parent company? Thanks!

I know that Demarchi from Italy makes Upland Cycling clothing but doubt that they do the bikes as well.

My guess is that they licensed the name Upland to an importer and the importer was responsible for designing the bike and bringing it to market.

The bad part is that when names are licensed to be put on bikes the licensor (Demarchi) doesn't pay much attention to the quality of the bikes but instead are interested primarily in volume and profit. This is pretty much what you'll find with bike brands such as GMC, Jeep, Columbia, and X Games to mention a few... they are all entry level bikes that sell for a higher than deserved price and ride on the "coat tails" of the brand name.
