Does anyone know why Derek Ackorah and Yyvette Fielding dont like each other anymore?

Yvette Fielding suspected that Derek Acorah was faking so she, along with a couple of others on the show, set him up as explained by a couple of your answers.  Once proved a fake, Derek was booted off Most Haunted.

Because Derek Acorah was proven to be a fake.

In one show he was 'accidentally allowed' to see certain info which was planted.

He was seen to read the name planted Kreed Kafer - in the show he mentioned the spirit of Kreed Kafer.

Kreed Kafer - is jumbled up  DEREK FAKER.

He was removed from the show - hence they have no time for each other

ADDED: I do not know which divots put thumbs down - because it is actually TRUE - It was widely reported in the press and was confirmed in a TV show in which Yvette Fielding confirmed the facts - Kieran O'Keefe set it up because he had some suspicion that Derek was obtaining info from another source prior to filming - and he WAS caught out.

The press release was shown in a Newcastle Paper - so if you want to hunt for it - that's where you start.

So, sorry to diasppoint you hardened Acorah fans - but he was shown on TV falling into the trap and Yvette and the team felt they were betrayed by him and no longer wanted him to be a part of the show - it also corresponds with the time that the shows producer - one Mr Wolf - ran away to Sky TV. Makes you wonder

His constantly getting possessed was a hoot!

Yvette Fielding wanted David 'Billy Bunter' Wells as the show's new medium.  The show's parapsychologist and researchers set Acorah up and revealed him as a fake.

However, Living TV knew Acorah had such a following, they gave him his own show and let him go quietly instead of creating a stink.

Irrespective of what he is, Acorah's theatrics made the show watchable - it's an even bigger load of cr@p now.

The answers below are correct he was "set up " by Yvette and Co but I think that was more Ms Fielding who owns and makes the show wanting a change of person.  

If anyone attends Derek's shows in theatres he just stands and talks and does not put on theatrics as seen on the TV. I expect who ever is on the program at the moment will eventually go the same way as Derek.  

Most Haunted should have been taken off the air a long time ago, it is now nothing more than a pantomine each time its on.

I have attended Derek's shows twice but am not a hardened fan just someone who believes in fair play.

I read it was because they deliberately put false info out  within his earshot and lo and behold this is the info he came up with in the show. I think the whole show is fake and has to up it's game, and findings, each series to keep up interest. For someone who apprently is an old hand at ghost hunting it's always Yyvette who asks if someone heard something and she's always the first to yell the loudest and jump the furthest. Every time a object is throw at the guests it's always within easy reach of Yyvette to pick up. Basically, it has to be bigger and better each series.
