  1. They are as tired of this Administration as we are , and anyone looks better then Bush .

  2. They can have him, if they want him.

I suppose it's because Americans (well, the conservatives, at least) are better informed about what is best for America, which is why he is less loved here.

History also shows that Churchill was reviled in Europe in the 1930's, right up until September 1939, and that the Europeans also hated Reagan and Thatcher, though it was their policies that brought down the Soviet Union and the Berlin Wall.

So, I don't put much stock in German opinion of foreign politicians.

  3. They feel confident that if he becomes our President he will bring us down to their level.

  4. Is that a bad thing? Apparently Europeans and Americans living in Europe think Obama represents an opportunity to return to a productive and collaborative relationship.

I don't think the fact that all of Europe hates Bush is much of a plus for this country.

  5. I don't put much stock in what Europeans have to say, especially Germans.  They have been soundly defeated twice in the past century.  The US bailed Europe out in WWII.  England, France and Russia would be speaking German today without the US Lend Lease Program.  The Europeans would like to see anyone in power that will bring the USA down and they see Obama as that man.

  6. Because he represents the faltering of the mighty U.S. of A., OF COURSE they love him, they see it as their opportunity to move a bit closer to the greatest country on the planet....

  7. He isn't. It's just the left wing liberal bias Democrat media we are stuck with here that tout those ideas. If any Republican was in those countries, he would be hated and they would hate the U.S. The staggering numbers for Obama's speech wasn't for Obama.....the organizers had two free rock concerts before the speech so people were there but didn't know why. Do you think any of those Germans understood one word of English? No.

  8. Well, the media tends to forget to report WHY those 200K germans were there in the first place- the free concert.

  9. Because he represents hand - outs, global welfare.  While Americans work their behinds off to create the country that it is, Europeans sit on their behinds.  In their eyes, Obama stands for global welfare at our expense.  He should be giving Europe the same speech he gave to the NAACP - get up and be responsible and contribute!  But, that goes against the European mindset.
