  1. Because the trolls were dominating the discussions and abuse was rampant.

  3. Because they are humorless pricks who can't bear to host an enormously popular forum if they aren't the arbiters of what constitutes "high tone" chit chat I suppose.

    But, really. It was grade 9 humor with X-rated language. I'm not surprised they shut them down.
