Does anyone know why after being on disability for a year?

just got medicare card in the mail. was trold wasnt eligible for it.asked if I was elibile when started was told no. is legitimate .did the rules change? or did they just check into it more.my husband get sit but he got it right away and % comes out of his monthly

If you have End Stage Renal Disease (dialysis) or ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), you may have qualified for medicare early. But there is not enough info in your question for anyone to know. You should contact Medicare and inquire about how you qualified and what benefits you are entitled to:

You have to be on SSDI for 27 months in order to be eligible for Medicare.  Private disability coverage doesn't count.
