At the present moment a wooden henge like the one in England is being destroyed at Lismullen in the Tara / Gabhra valley in Ireland. To reduce travel time by 3 minutes? Or is it because a multi-national corporation owns the toll rights to the motorway?

  1. You've already answered the question... one man's sacred site in this day and age has no chance against another man's need to make a profit. We live in a time when not much is sacred any more, just money and self interest. Most religions have become a joke with their own hypocrisy, making it easier to disregard any belief system in the name of so called progress.

  2. It cuts a lot more than 3 minutes off. It will cut an hour. It will only be passing within 2.2km of the site. Currently the pollution emissions caused by traffic jams on the Meath-Dublin route is far more destructive than the N3 will be. The majority of protest is coming from people that the issue does not affect. The people of Meath want the road. Tara is not being destroyed it isn't even being touched.
