Does anyone know why driving system in UK is upsite down?

The reason they drive "upsite down" goes back to the days when they drove horses on the gaitway and approaching traffic posed a threat.  Because most people are right handed, driving your horse on the left side of the gaitway allowed you to quickly draw your sword and slay bucking rogues.
