please tell me what made mcdonalds fail in trinidad and tobago's food market as compared to its success in others.And also h

ow could they have prevented it.

  1. mcDonald's in trinidad did not work out for plenty of reasons.  First, they did not have a true trinidadian menu plus they did not really cater to the islands love of chicken. That is why KFC is or was still standing.  Second, it was a franchised location so it became unprofitable for that owner operator to manage the resturant.  Finally their menu was kinda pricey when you compare it to mom n' pop resturant that sold doubles and jerk chicken for a fraction of the price of a big mac meal.

    Mcdonalds tries to cater to locate wants but they fell short of expectations in trinidad.


  2. Its too expensive for them to import the food products, especially the meat.

  3. No one wanted the whiteman burgers.

  4. Did McDonalds fail or did they withdraw because it wasn't profitable for them in those countries?

    They would have done extensive research before they even established an outlet there.
