Does anyone know why my tv takes forever to turn on?

you have to push the power button for like over 20 mins because the tv juss turn on then off right away? could it be a blown fuse?????

ever since the late 70's t.v's had an "instant on" option. it basically is a small condensor that charges up and powers the t.v. for those first few minutes when a t.v. is Warming up" sounds like yours had the biscuit. 5 bucks for the part, and 25 bucks for labour is abt. what i used to charge to repair that.
