Does anyone know why the coolant would leak in a audi 100 cs in the front bottom of the engine?

I am looking to know what could be leaking it is not from a hose, but under the alternator and above oil pan

  1. why it would leak? because there is somewhere that the fluid can get out i guess I'm not really sure what your asking

    do you mean where could it by leaking for or what could be leaking I'm not really sure what you mean

    well the guy below me is right its hard to tell from a q and a pics would help

    but my geuss would be the goose neck could be loose

  3. ITs your water pump and it running to the bottom of the engine, check your water pump.

  4. open hood,,,look...its usually a hose...you cant tell by looking at Q&A on net

  5. the water pump--the seals wear out -look very close from under the car to see it with eng. running.. if is it , will need to replace pump .not  uncommon.

  6. Water pump is bad... You will have to remove the timing belt... replace it as well. I've found really good Audi parts prices at http://www.highspeedautoparts.com/ Good luck
