The media and the state police are strongly enforceing the use of seat belts while we are driveing or rideing a motor vehicle.

I'm a retired tractor trailer driver and i was required to use seat belt because it's the law and they save lifes.

Why in the world do we allow the schools to get away with not haveing seat belts to protect those we care about the most our kids.

We take the time to see they are properly buckeled up befor we take our kids any where in our vehicles becuse we care about them and it is the law.

I dont think the school buses should be above the law, what do you think and what can we do about it.

The stae police should be giveing tickets out to all the school bus drivers then we might get something done.

  1.   Buses do have seat belts but only at the driver's and the front seat (which is generally the conducter's seat). Rest of the seats have the backside support of the front seat. Seat belt is used to restrict our forward motion in case the breaks are applied in emergency, but in a bus the forward motion of the students is stopped by the backside of the seat in front. So there is no need for seat belts there. Moreover the speed of buses are not so high (usually) that the children would crash into the front seat.
