  1. Usually you have to add a hardware device that picks up the signal and rebroadcast it near the edge of the original signal.  This can be an antenna, a "repeater", or a second router with NAT and DHCP turned off.

  2. Step 1: Get faster, stronger Wi-Fi

When you first set up your Wi-Fi network, you probably assumed you'd get a strong signal no matter where you wandered. Now you're having trouble surfing in the sunroom and Googling in the garden. You don't need a smaller house, you just need a wider-ranging network. Here we show you how to upgrade your existing network to extend your wireless signal and perhaps even increase your data-throughput speed.

    Step 2: Wi-Fi-enhancing hardware

Before you get started with this project, we recommend that you have the following:

An 802.11g access point and repeater

    A few extra Ethernet cables

    Step 3: Upgrade 802.11b to 802.11g

Step 4: Configure your Wi-Fi router

Step 5: Boost your Wi-Fi with a repeater

Step 6: Maximize your Wi-Fi range

Step 7: Check your Wi-Fi signal strength

  3. Add an antenna

  4. It's called a wireless range extender. Shown here is g http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/...

but there should be some n's around somewhere.

  5. You can get a range extender - probably $50 or so.  It sits in the strong signal range the rebroadcasts it.  You put it somewhere between the router and the dead zone.

    Option #2 -

Run a cable from the router to the dead zone and plug in a second router.  Turn off NAT and DHCP and use a different channel and  SSID on the second router.

  6. You probably have to get a antenna with high gain to produce higher power output

Make sure your existing router is compatible

If your problem is pure interference you should try changing your Wireless Channel to a less commonly used frequency this will also increase your range slightly because less interference will increase Wireless Range

Disabling SSID broadcast will also help

Other Answerers are also right about getting repeaters but you have to provide repeater with additional cables and power if you are using it for small office or home it is troublesome
