  1. i would first go to a good genealogy website.ancestry.com is good .it is not free.lds family search is excellent and best part is it is free!! go to rootsweb.com there are all kinds of information there .coats of arms is but one of the many things you can find. rootsweb some are free others are pay for time or pay per answer.  good luck!!

  2. A Coat of Arms is not for everyone with a surname - - it would have been given to a specific person who could of course pass it down to his eldest son or other relative...  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coat_of_arm...

    FYI,

    TREVISAN Name Meaning and History

Italian: habitational name for someone from the Venetian city of Treviso, from an adjectival form of the place name (compare Travisano).

    [TRAVISANO Name Meaning and History

Italian: variant of Trevisano, habitational name for someone from the Venetian city of Treviso.]

  3. Missio is not very common and present only in a few villages of the eastern part of Veneto.

Trevisan is present is 1.000 Italian villages  and towns, with a concentration in Veneto region and Lombardy; in USA is present in more than 20 states.

It means "from Treviso" a border city of the old venetian republic.
