Does anyone like any of these bold MLB predictions? Or have some of their own?

1) The cubs do not make the playoffs-the brewers win the division and the cardinals take the wild card.

2) The NL West winner is above .500 (crazy, I know), and it is the Dodgers, because despite great SP the Dbacks have nothing else

3)The Red Sox do not make the playoffs. How about that for bold? Im not very confident with this one, but I say Tampa continues their miracle season, and the yankees somehow get in again

4) The twins beat the tigers by one game to win the central

5) Roy Halladay leads the league in ERA, Mussina leads the league in wins with 20

6)NL Cy Young winner doesnt make the playoffs

  1. 1. CRAZY  cubs will make the playoffs

    2.Well yeah probably

    3. Red Sox are gonna make the playoffs

    4. thats possible

    5. nah Roy Halliday isnt THAT good and Mussina will not win 20

    6. most likely  Front Runners are Tim Lincecum, Edinson Volquez and Brandon Webb who all other then Webb are not gonna make the playoffs and Brandon Webb isnt a lock either

  2. Bold and absolutely incorrect except for the last one.

  3. 1. Very unlikely

    2. Could happen, would be funny if it didn't though

    3. I think they make it in, but not to the World Series

    4. Tigers won't even come close.

    5. Halladay has been great this year, Moose has revived his career, 20 wins might happen

    6. That could happen, if it's Volquez or Lincecum

  4. I LOVE it.  Especially #3.  Down with the sox.  I hope ESPN doesn't see that.  They will get mad. They seem to have a love affair going with Boston.

  5. I think 2,5,6 are possible....and the rest arent likely.

My bold prediction: Fransisco Rodriguez wins AL Cy Young

  6. Actually, those are pretty solid predictions, although the Red Sox will make the playoffs.

  7. I really like 5. That's definitely a bold prediction and actually has a shot of happening.

My bold prediction: AL Central ends in a 3 way tie with the Sox, Twins and Tigers.

  8. 1. yes

    2.no

    3.no

    4.no

    5.no

    6.yes

  9. #1 is way the heck out of line. There is no way the brewers win that division. Sure they have Bill Hall, Prince Fielder, C.C. Sabathia, and Corey Hart, but look at the Cubs. Soriano off the D.L. Zambrono, and the team is just starting to get healthy again. Cardinals will win wild card but sorry brew crew : [ . Bold prediction #2 Is somehow someway true. The Dodgers really have nobody on their team that are stars , but the D- Backs have Webb, and thats really all I can think of because im not a NL fan. Anyways Dodgers win the division over .500 . #3 Tampa wins the division and takes best record with them. Red Sox win Wild Card in A.L. Yankees sorry but your not making the playoffs this year. #4 is not true. What I believe will happen is that it will be the other way around. Accept that the Tigers are in 1st, White sox in 2nd, and Twins in 3rd. #5 is untrue. Pitcher with most wins will be Brandon Webb, Leader in ERA will be Rafeol Betancourt for the Cleveland Indians. Who by the way will finish last in A.L. Central. #6 True. Brandon Webb will be the Cy Young winner. He will not make the playoffs. That Is just my opinion. The world series winner will be the Detroit Tigers in my opinion.

  10. 1. never will happen

2.thats obivous because they are already 490

3.hahaha very funny are you a comedian???

4.yeah they are 6 games in front of them

5.probably he's doing really good this year

6.hey brandon webb might make it!!!!!

  11. the florida marlins will show everyone that to get into the playoffs you dont need pitching... my money is hanley runnign away with HR and the MVP as well as 1st place in the east

  12. Ok here's what I think of them:

    1) No, i think the Cubs will make the playoffs, I think the Brewers will take the wild card; the Cards are the oevrachievers here.

    2) Nope, not crazy both teams have been undercahieving and yes the Dodgers ahve the better team.

    3) OH BABY! Man you better calm yourslef down!! Put some icey hot on those big knockers!

Actually i'd love for that to happen. I'm not a red sox hater or anything and I have lots of Red Sox friends but I really think their team is overrated. however, even tho i think Yanks make it, i honestly ahev to say that i think the Red Sox will make it especially w/ Big papi coming back.

    4) No, but its within the realm of possibility and I def dont want chiSox making it. But I do thinkt he Tigers will have a beast 2nd Half and will win their divsion. but with Liriano STREAMROLLING through the minors i could see this happening, plus Delmon Young could have a very good 2nd half.

    5) Yes agree, If you're talking about AL only. Might agree if you're talkinga bout AL and NL as well. i think halladay willw in AL Cy Young

    6) Agree. Look at the odds for the contenders: Volquez won't make it, I dont think d';backs make it so Webb and Haren won't make it, linecum won't make it. Those are pretty much the front-runners for Cy Young. Johan's still in the mix, and the mets are ina 3-game race so I'm not sure if he'll make it, and basically every other contender is a level down. I guess CC has a chance but he's gonna have to be lights out teh rets of the way and I don't think harden will picthe nough innings to be taken into consideration and Zambrano isn't actually doing as good as Cubs fans think he is.

Ok, bold predictions, huh? Ok here are some of my bold predcitions:

    1) Texeira will surpass 40 homers. he's currently at 19, so that's not super bold but hey I'm just getting warmed up.

    2) Volquez will end up w/ an ERA above 3.

    3) Ben Sheets will pitch a whole season.

    4) Chipper will NOT chase .400 and neither will any1 else.

    5) Carlos Beltran will end up w/ a 30-30. Yeah. This is where you heard it...

    6) Hold your breath...The Atlanta Braves will make the playoffs! Yep scroll back and read it again. Slowly, so you don't miss anything. ;)

    7) Ok,ok, time for the biggie...A-Rod/Madonna will still be going strong come October. Yep!Yep! Yep! A-Rod will have "Give it 2 me" as his at-bat music...

Oh man we both have some formidable cocones for making these BOLD predictions. I hope you wear boxers, briefs would give u no room!!!

  13. 1. I completely agree with you.

    2. Yeah. It won't be far above .500, but they will be above it, and yes I can see it being the Dodgers.

    3. Definitely bold, but I could see it happening. That's a good division. Yankees always do well 2nd half, and they are starting to show signs of doing it again. Hopefully it will get rid of some of the Red Sox bandwagon fans if this happens.

    4. This, in my opinion, is a little too bold. I think the Tigers will turn it on. At least enough to win their division.

    5. I would say a very real scenario, but no respect to Halladay at all (I think he's one of the best pitchers in baseball), but I think Duchscherer will keep his lead on the league's ERA. Mussina, I agree with you.

    6. Lincecum, Volquez, and Sheets are my picks for Cy Young right now. So, that makes sense as far as probability goes. 2/3 of those are probably not gonna make the playoffs. I agree with your prediction.

I will make one of my own:

    7. Texas gives LA a run for their money. I think the Angels win the division, but it ends up being very close. Angels win by 1 or 2 games.
