Does anyone live around Oakleigh and hear sudden loud sounds at night that sound like a plane or something?

The other night something drove past my bedroom or something and it was extremely loud that it woke me up and scared me, and just last night there was this loud noise that sounded like a truck, except it went on for too long to be a truck... i'm quite confused.

Do you live near a train line? Apparently they can be heard from quite far away.. And that would explain the length of the sound. Does a bus route go past your house?

it could be anything but if is not causing you too much problems you should forget about it. you could even try staying up for some time during the night & yourself check out what it is
