I am interested in moving there but I was wondering if anyone had any experience there.

  1. I went there to view a few apartments about a year and a half ago and I saw quite a few abandoned-looking vehicles in the parking lot, and I saw some suspicious activity that looked like drug-deals.  I wouldn't recommend it.  The grounds are otherwise beautiful and the office staff are very friendly.  Things may have changed since I was there...maybe you should drive through the community at night to see if you still like it.

    Good Luck!

  2. I've lived in St. Ives for the past 2 years. I think Management could do a better job, but overall, I don't have any complaints. It is not noisy. I've never had a bad experience with any of the neighbors. Parking has never been an issue. The only thing is the apartments are all electric, so your bill comes up high if u use a lot of AC or heat. Location is great. Franklin Mills mall is very close, Neshaminy Mall, 95, the Turnpike, Roosevelt Blvd. Every major road is really close by.

  3. These apartments at first glance may seem inviting... BUT there was a shooting death last year.  Also there is graffiti sprayed around, tires being stolen off cars, kids damaging cars by throwing rocks and acting as though they run the place, rude staff, the gates to the community have not worked for quite some time, plaster peeling from walls, critters within the walls, guns fired out of the windows, gang fighting and police fail to respond, etc...

Stay away and pay a little more , you will be glad you did.

  4. I have not lived in them myself, but have lived down the street.

Up until a few years ago, I would have said heck no (there was not a good situation there at all), but from what I understand there is a new management company and they are trying to improve.  Maintenance seems to be much better (to tell you how bad it was, at one point one of the buildings had tarps for a roof!)

One item that is both a plus and minus is location.  The complex is located right against Woodhaven Ave, a major road.  Very convenient, but if you happen to live in one of the units that faces the road, very noisy...

Before moving in, I would make sure to do at least one pre-rental inspection of the complex, to make sure maintenance has improved.
