Question:

Does anyone look at the comments after they have posted a question and chosen their answer?

Whenever my response is chosen as 'best answer', I post a comment, thanking them for choosing my answer. I often wonder if they go unnoticed.

Thank you for your time and your thought. :D

  6. Yes, i usually take some time to read the comments and are proud of it..

    take care dear.

  7. i always put a comment when i choose my best answers

saying something to the person, thanking them

i think they are noticed glow wings, its part of the fun, part of the reason people give their opinions, to get responses

im not sure what you mean tho about posting thanking them for choosing you tho

ive never thanked anyone for my answers being chosen unless they are one of my contacts as thats on a more personal and friendly level

but i appreciate my best answers as it means soemone found some use out of soemthing i said, i helped them in some way, and im happy with that

    ;-)

  8. I have been starting to - as a post note.  When I see them in others - I will open them and read them as well.

    Thanks for the reminder!

  9. Well, I certainly do!

I've made good friends this way, Learned that some people were on the verge of suicide and were helped by an answer I gave, etc. I mean their appreciation and feedback.. even dissatisfaction is what helps me know Yahoo is alive and that these answers make a difference.. or at least even food for thought.

Edit: This is still all a little new to me. Been here a year or so.. do you mean you can post comments on OTHER peoples "best answers"?

(Sounds like the supreme court desenting  opinion or something, Ha!)

It does burn me up, though, a little, when somebody gets 10 helpful, well thought out, well presented answers that conflict with their preconceived bias, and they choose another one who is of their OWN opinion, just to make sure the voters or fairness don't get a chance.

They don't WANT the answer, they only want to toot their own little horn. They're not exactly "trolls" but maybe we could call them "hornies".. I don't know.

  10. I don't.

I feel Y!A should give us some notification for comments on our resolved Qs

  11. I look, I hope others do also. I also like to add a thank you comment for those who pick me as best answer, it's just polite, but like you I don't know if they ever see it.

  12. Yes, I sometimes will look through the comments and I will also add to the comments section.

  13. I hope they do, cuz I always say thank you if my answer is chosen.*

  14. I use to.  Have blocked my e-mail due to threatening mails, so now I just pray they know that I am happy I was selected

  15. I don't, but if their comments to my response are intriguing I will e-mail them thanking  them and almost always make a new contact.

Edit: you are asking if your answer gets chosen you post a comment?  Because if your asking do I post a comment when I choose a best answer to my ?'s Yes always.
