  1. Yeah, but I was pretty terrible at hitting when I played, so I'm not very familiar with that particular feeling, lol.

  2. Yeah but only if it doesn't break any windows or hit any cars.

  3. Haha...You've probably never hit a homerun in your life, but yes, there's NO better feeling than hitting the ball right off the sweet spot.

  4. I think the character in 'Tin Cup' described it best.  Although he was talking about hitting a golf ball perfectly, it also applies to hitting a baseball.

"You feel that tuning fork in your loins"

  5. Ya but it feels better if its a homerun

  6. Man there are college players, and even a small handful of major leaguers who can't hit it 400 feet. And how do you know how far it went? Oh well. Who hasn't told a little white lie before.

  7. The good bat feeling. Not the one where it's 30 degrees and you hit it on the end of the bat and it vibrates up your arm.  I hate that one. lol.

  8. Oh yea the feel of the bat the silence of being in the zone. The first movement of the pitcher. The release point. The ball in his hand. Watching the ball hit the bat. Watching ball go far into the gap. Running like youve never ran before. The feeling and adrenaline is really pumping. Its like feeling your on top of the world.

  9. I loved to play the game when I was young but stopped playing at some point. Some fifteen years later I got involved in a pick up game, one company location challenging another kind of thing.  The first time I swung and connected with the ball was awesome.  The totality of man, bat and ball was electric.

    Yeah, it's a sweet thing.

  10. the best feeling is when it clears the mark of a home-run, plus if you got a wood bat the clink sounds great, nothing like that shiver it sends in your hands

  11. Oh yeah I'm sure you hit a 400 foot homer at 13.

EDIT- That's laughable. I'm 15 and I've played baseball for almost 10 years, been on several all-star and travel teams, and am pretty d**n good if i do say so myself. I'm no powerhouse, but I know for a fact that there is not a kid my age on the face of this earth that could hit a ball 400 feet, unless he has been doing steroids since kindergarten. I know I couldn't hit one over a 300 foot fence if my life depended on it and by the way you have to gloat on the internet to make yourself feel better, I bet that field you were hitting on was more like 220 feet as opposed to these major league blasts you hit. haha
