I'm glad somebody asked this question. Dates are so underutilized in California restaurants. A.O.C has great bacon wrapped dates and Laguna Niguel has a spot with date shakes, but all the other restaurants definitely need more dates.

Yes, in Colombia, in the drug and gang area of Cali, along with Medellin, the people have become so downtrodden and their area's reputation so besmirched, that dates in any form would cheer them up and provide tasty, nutritious snacks ALL AT THE SAME TIME!

If you are considering making a mercy run to the poor folks there, I know they will be deeply grateful.
