There is no such thing as a certainty in horse racing.  There are too many factors that can cause a good thing to be beaten.  Yuo cannot factor in what all the other horses in the field may do.  How many times have we seen horses carried out by a loose horse when jumping - or what about what happened to Tony McCoy and Clan Royal a few years a go in the Grand National?

A horse does not know if he is a red-hot favourite or 100-1, he will try (or not try in some cases) as much as he feels like on the day.

If you could guarantee which horse would win everytime, a lot of people would lose interest in betting, as half the fun is picking your selection and trying to beat the bookie.  Favourite backing is no fun, and you don't win as much money as if you are prepared to take a chance on a 12-1 shot.

If you aren't prepared to take the risk of losing, you shouldn't be betting in the first place.

Is no guaranteed winning bet.anything can happen in a horse race.The best horse running could have an accident or get in trouble during a race.The big money tries for the must pay 5% in show pools to win 5 cents for every 1 dollar bet on super horses who records show they are superior to the others and will most likely they will win the race so a show bet seems safe as the horse only needs to run 1st 2nd or 3rd to collect.But for this system to work in 20 races your horse would have to be at least 3rd in every race.I do not like those odds even if the horses are all sure thing 1-10 favorites.Go out to the track with some friends bet a few dollars on the horses you pick enjoy the day win or lose.now thats a guarenteed win.

Here is an idea that just might work.

In the Racing Post there is a column called "Pricewise" For some reason (he had one good winning run once) punters pour money onto his selections.

WHAT TO DO :

Get the Racing Post really early (Or check on line the night before)

Find his main selection and BACK TO WIN immediately.Via on line betting account.

Later in the morning after the betting shops have opened, the price on the horse will have shortened considerably.

You Then LAY the horse at the shorter price.

RESULT: Win or Lose you will make a small profit (Depending upon stakes)

Obviously  this will only work for the period that Pricewise is having his purple patch, but at the moment punters follow his selections like lemmings.
