  1. Just been travelling round the world with my girlfriend for a year...she gets VERY travel sick it seems.  The key to her not throwing up daily...Ginger...it's genius, preferably in pill form but desperation forced ginger biscuits to be used at one point which weren't bad either...try it.

  2. Happily, I don't suffer from travel sickness (touch wood!). However, whenever I travel I make sure I keep well hydrated ... and eat lightly - fill up on water rather than food ... no big meals within hours of a flight, and avoid fatty foods, too ... rather eat salads, fruits, etc. Hope you find something that works for you!

  3. First off, grab an isle seat. Not being able to see out the window might make you feel more at ease. Bring music, video games, something interesting to read, etc. Anything to keep you busy. Get to know your neighbor. 4 hours and 47 minutes is just 2 movies and 2 good CDs.

As you are seating in the isle, look at the faces of flight attendants to gage the seriousness of the turbulence you are experiencing. They have gone through serious turbulence, and you will see it in their faces when it's really bad.

If you can sleep in the plane, go for it. Dramamine will make you a little drowzy. Are you OK with feeling like that? You can ask your doctor for a prescription for Xanax or Ativan. They will help you relax and take the anxiety out of flying.

Read the inflight magazine and browse through the Skymall catalog, except start at the back page and make your way to the front with your non-dominant hand. It will take you longer and force you to concentrate, which will take your mind off flying.

    Best of luck.

  4. idk.

  5. If you are travelling by car, put your head on the side window, you will become so dizzy with the vibrations, you will forget you feel sick

  6. If you are travelling in a car, the idea of sitting on a pile of newspapers does the trick. It's supposed to absorb all the vibrations. Also one of those anti magnetic strips which hang from the rear of the car to the road........If you're flying, eat some butterscotch sweets. On a ferry, keep out in the fresh air (if pos.) or keep viewing the horizon........

  7. If you aren't driving but travelling on a car, bus even a plane don't look to the sides. Close your eyes because the reason people get sick is their eyes tell thier brains your not moving but your ears tell your brain you are so toxins build up or something so yeah just close your eyes if you aren't driving. I have found taking dramamine helps.

  8. Ginger is best. Get the pickled kind from a chinese food store. Drink a lot (not alcohol) and eat lightly.

Chew gum to keep your ears from popping. Don't try to read as part of the nausea comes on when your eyes are focusing close while the world around you is moving at a different rate.
