  1. section your wet hair and blow dry first section and straighten it. do that with every section and then run the straightener through all of it once you are done. make sure you are using a good straightener or it will never do very well with your hair.

  2. use a voluming shampoo and conditioner. Blow dry your hair upside down to give it amazing body and volume. End with a jet of cool air to close your hair's cuticles and make your hair shiny. ( it also helps to rinse your hair with cold water just before you get out of the shower). Then straighten the bottom layers of you hair (pin the top layers up if it helps) if it isn't straight enough, then straighten the BOTTOM of your top layers. don't do it from you scalp or it will flatten your hair. Then apply mouse with your head flipped over, mess it up, and you're good :)

    good luck, hope this helped!

  3. Blow dry it with a round brush going under.

Then when you straighten it, curl under and it wil look good.

  4. i have really curly layered hair so i go from bottom to top. i just do one layer at a time so i pull all my others back. if you want the textured layered look the curl the ends of ur layers in. it sepparates them and give in the layered look

  5. Try to blow dry it first with your head upside down.  It will give it body.  And when you go to straighten it, it should have body after straightening it.

  6. you just have to seperate the layers.

with clips, or ponytails. my hair is about down to my b***s, so i just use ponytails.

  7. Use a big round brush to blow out, and then a flat Iron. Make sure to use a product to prevent heat damage.

  8. brush it out then layer by layer straighten it. Hope this helps!

  9. Hey I know I have the same problem.

    Heres What you do first:

You section the hair like this:

    and like this:

    Then What you do is

section the hair you parted into three parts, like as if you pulled your hair in front of your shoulders but leaving a section in the back.

then straighten in into 1 inch sections like this:

then keep doing the same routine until you reach the top:

Then when you reach the top, brush all the hair out with a wide tooth comb not a brush ( it will make it staticy).

Then Take a anti-frizz serum or spray, the one I use that works real good is the Tressime anti frizz spray. Its only about 6 dollars any u can get it at walmart.

Just Spray it all over in you layered hair and Comb it through.

The last step it to put some natural hold hair spray on top of your hair just to give it a hold and to keep the fly aways gone.

  10. well straighten it by layers, each layer use a little tiny spray of hairspray and when your done kinda flip your head up and down. use your fingers to calm it down a bit and that should work if you want some volume in it !

  11. When straightening you hair it really makes no difference whether it's layered or not.

One of the very best blow dryers and straighteners that I have used is made by "Sedu". These are expensive, around $100.00, but well worth it! It seriously cut my straighting time in half. I bought mine online at www.folica.com.

I have full wavy/curly hair and this is what works for me--

After washing it I let it air dry until it is about 75% dry.

Then I spray on a heat defense conditioning spray all over my hair.I use Nexxus protective mist. This helps so as not to damage your hair

I begin blow drying separate sections at a time. For me blowdrying my hair helps undo those curls, however, I need to use flat iron because its a bit frizzy after all that blow drying.

After I have finished blowdrying than I spray on the heat defense conditioning spray again all over my hair and I begin straightening it section by section for a sleek smooth look. If you have straightened your hair, but it still seem a but frizzy try applying John Freida's frizz serum or lotions.

    DONT

straighten your hair while wet!!! This can cause breakage and much unneeded damage.

I hope this helps! Good luck :)

  12. well if its wet try to blow dry it a little bit first  and then try to straighten it with this kind of brush that is like a round brush and it blows hot air , that will leave your hair so cute it even gives it volume if you want it too

  13. why don't you try putting mousse in your damp hair and then blow-dry it? also when you straighten your hair, try turning down the heat a little so the flat iron is a little less affective. you will get more body.
