Does anyone no if a person can buy-out a long term disability claim through company?

it is through the company that i worked for...i rec'v a check once a month but was told that i could cash it out.....true or not?

I don't "selling" this is possible since a disability may not be permanent there is no way to tell how long the payments would last. But you may be able to call the disability carrier and see if they will offer you a buy out.
