  1. Wheeler Peak is the highest peak in New Mexico, with an elevation of 13,161 feet.



    Red Bluff Reservoir is the lowest point in New Mexico with an elevation of  2,842 feet.  (This is higher than the elevation peaks of 18 states.)

    New Mexico's main region is the Desert Southwest.
