When making an appointment with any garage make sure you ask if they do out of town inspections because not all of them are authorized to so.

You can take it to a Canadian Tire Service Entre as they're also the only ones authorized by Transport Canada to do the vehicles coming in from the US.  Their shop rate is a lot more reasonable then any of the dealerships.

Another one you could get a quote from are some of the Peto Canada service stateions - that's where I had my out of province inspection done. Again check to make sure the one you choose is authorized to do one.

There are 69  AMA approved auto service repair shops in Calgary. AMA also does inspections.
